Ruben Loftus-Cheek is certain of returning to Chelsea for pre-season following a successful loan spell with Crystal Palace.
Loftus-Cheek has made a significant impact for the Eagles, playing an important role under Palace manager Roy Hodgson.
The 22-year-old received his first senior England call-up in November, playing friendlies against Germany and Brazil respectively.
Loftus-Cheek is quoted in an interview with the Daily Mail, revealing of his plans to come back to Chelsea at the end of the season, after being questioned whether he’ll be at the club for the next campaign.
“I haven’t made a decision on that yet but as things stand I plan to be back at Chelsea for pre-season.”
As Chelsea could well go through a rebuilding squad process next season, there have been calls for the central midfielder to be in the first-team fold in what’s a turbulent time for us at the moment.
With a lack of academy graduates coming through the ranks at Stamford Bridge, it would be refreshing to see Loftus-Cheek become a regular at Chelsea.
