Diego Costa has revealed that he regrets joining Chelsea, the club where he won two Premier League titles.

Costa was adored by much of the Chelsea fanbase. He still is, in truth, even after the bitter ending and his fall out with manager Antonio Conte.

The Spaniard was the spearhead of our attack for three years, establishing himself as one of the best strikers in the club’s history.

Despite what Costa achieved at Stamford Bridge, he has now revealed his belief that joining Chelsea was a mistake, and he should have stayed at Atletico Madrid.

Costa is quoted by Marca saying:

“I was wrong going to Chelsea, because of their way of dealing with things. Cholo [Atletico coach Diego Simeone] is a direct coach, and when he doesn’t love you, it’s clear and he shows it.”

It’s disappointing to see Costa speak this way about us. Regardless of how he was treated by Conte or the club, he was worshiped by the fans.

He’ll be fondly remembered for what he gave to the club between 2014 and 2017, but in truth, we’re glad that trouble-maker Costa is no longer around.
