What Eden Hazard said to Daniel Sturridge in the Stamford Bridge tunnel following his super goal on Saturday evening has been revealed.
Sturridge scored one of the best goals that the Stamford Bridge faithful have witnessed in recent years, letting fly from 35-yards out and finding the top corner of Kepa Arrizabalaga’s net, leaving the Spaniard with no chance.
The Englishman hasn’t produced this level of form for several years, but of course, he goes and scores two blinders against us within the space of a week. Hazard is keen to see Sturridge regain his consistency – but for purely selfish reasons!
According to The Sun, after the game Hazard was heard saying to Sturridge; “Great goal… just make sure you do it again next weekend!”
Liverpool take on another of Sturridge’s former employers next weekend in Premier League leaders Manchester City. He may well have played his way into Jurgen Klopp’s starting eleven for that one.
After how much Sturridge has suffered with injuries in recent years, it’s great to see him back doing what he does best. Next time he comes to the Bridge, though, we wouldn’t mind him taking a day off.
