Former Chelsea player and manager Glenn Hoddle is ‘responding well to treatment, a spokesperson has told the BBC.
The spokesperson also reaffirmed the seriousness of Hoddle’s condition, but he is receiving ‘specialist treatment’ in hospital. He’s in the best place he could possibly be at this time.
Hoddle fell ill at the BT Sport studio on Saturday, soon after appearing on-screen receiving a cake for his 61st birthday. He was subsequently rushed to hospital.
Hoddle was quite the player in his day. He spent the best years of his career with Spurs, but we remember him fondly for his stint at Chelsea as both a player and manager.
On a day where Hoddle was supposed to do what he loves and what he does best in covering the game that holds his heart, he was rushed to hospital in order to save his life.
