Former Blue Graeme Le Saux has given his take on the Alvaro Morata-Romelu Lukaku debate, report the Express.

Le Saux was somewhat of a rarity – a Chelsea academy product that was able to make an impact in the first-team. It doesn’t happen nowadays.

The ex-England international made 90 league appearances in a Chelsea shirt, finding the back of the net on eight occasions. During his time at Stamford Bridge, he won seven pieces of silverware, including the FA Cup and UEFA Super Cup.

He has certainly earned the right to voice his opinion on club affairs, and has done so, as the Express report. The tabloid quote Le Saux, who claims that Manchester United hitman Romelu Lukaku is currently better than Alvaro Morata, but the latter has plenty of potential:

“At the moment you might say that Lukaku is the better striker, based on amount of goals scored, but Morata has huge potential.”

It is by no means an outlandish claim, they are both brilliant strikers with bags of potential. We’d rather have Morata, though!
