When speaking in his press conference on Friday, Antonio Conte couldn’t set a date for when Alvaro Morata, Thibaut Courtois and Willian would return from injury.

Morata has this problem in his back, and Courtois took a kick in his ankle. I don’t know how close they are to returning.”

The Italian also gave more details of Willian’s condition after suffering a hamstring injury early in the 2-1 Carabao Cup loss against Arsenal on Wednesday.

“Today with the doctor he had a scan to evaluate his injury, but I don’t think we are talking about a serious injury.”

There was good news for Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas, who could feature for the game against the Magpies, as Conte reports.

“Fabregas trained today with us, and tomorrow I will check his physical condition. It’s good news for us.”
