Chelsea defender Marc Guehi is one of those players of whom we really must take note of. He isn’t just another promising youngster, he’s the real deal.
I believe that come January, the proof of that claim will be in the pudding. I believe that Chelsea will be receiving loan enquiries for his services until the end of the season from a number of Championship teams.
This is because of his immensely fast growth, his maturity, and his undoubted all round quality.
He has just played two matches at the heart of the England under 21 defence, an age group that factually is two groups up from where he should be playing, being just 19 years old still.
He is already the captain of the Chelsea under 23 team, showing his leadership skills as well as his talent.
Just to give even more substance to this opinion, he’s also been added to Chelsea’s UEFA Champions League squad, proving just how much the club and coaches trust him.
He’s a perfect modern day defender and has every type of asset needed to be one of the best around in that position. He has pace, power, reads the game well, good positional play, great at tackling, good defender, excellent passer, and is technically good at receiving the ball in tight areas. He as it all.
I honestly believe that he will be off on loan very soon to take the next step up in his career progression.
