Inter Milan have joined Serie A counterparts AC Milan and Juventus in the race to sign Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata this summer, according to Goal.
Morata’s days at Chelsea appear numbered. It is yet unclear whether the player is discontented at Stamford Bridge, or the club have merely grown tired of his below-par performances. Regardless, he looks like he’s off.
Goal report that there’s no shortage of interest, with Morata’s agent holding talks with Italian sides in Milan. AC Milan missed out on signing the Spaniard last summer and appear keen to not suffer the same fate this time around.
It’s claimed Morata’s Juventus are also in the running, with Morata ‘bumping into’ club director Fabio Paratici during a trip to Milan with his agent. Goal believe it to be a ‘chance meeting’ – we’re not convinced.
Goal also note that Inter have now lodged an enquiry regarding Morata. If Mauro Icardi departs, they’ll need another superstar centre-forward to invest their money into. Morata quite clearly isn’t that player, but if they’re willing to stump up the cash, they don’t have to know that.
