Napoli defender Faouzi Ghoulam has attracted interest from several English clubs including Chelsea, the Express reports.
The Algerian has been a part of an exciting Napoli side that are top of Serie A, winning all seven league matches so far this season.
The Express reports that Ghoulam’s agent Jorge Mendes wants his client’s release clause to be valued at £30m, although Napoli values the player higher than this amount.
It’s been no secret that Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has been chasing a left-back after failing in attempts to sign Juventus’ Alex Sandro in the summer, reported by the Mirror.
However, other Premier League clubs including Liverpool and Manchester City are also interested in signing the 26-year-old, as per the Express.
Ghoulam’s contract is out at the end of the season so the left-back would be a cheaper alternative to Sandro, whilst also providing plenty of competition for Marcos Alonso’s place in the team.
Signing a left-back in January is likely to see Kenedy head out on loan as the young Brazilian seeks more playing time.
