It appears as though Chelsea boss Antonio Conte will attempt to draft in attacking reinforcements this summer.
According to Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb, Chelsea are interested in signing Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Aubameyang has been in emphatic form this campaign, and has bagged 37 goals in 44 appearances for Dortmund – and his good performances do not appear to have gone unnoticed.
Tuttomercatoweb believe that Chelsea could make contact with Dortmund in the coming stays to begin negotiations.
It is reported that the Bundesliga giants will demand a whopping £51.3million in exchange for the Gabon international. However, if he is able to replicate the performances he has put in for Dortmund this term in a Chelsea shirt, it would prove to be a shrewd acquisition.
Regardless of whether Diego Costa is a Chelsea player next season, a new centre-forward should be on Conte’s wish-list. Only time will tell if that man with be Aubameyang.
