Chelsea have reportedly entered the race to sign Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic.
The Chelsea faithful will always worship Cesc Fabregas following the four-years he has spent at Stamford Bridge. The Spaniard has continued to add to what was already an illustrious career during his time at a Blue.
However, even the most loyal of Fabregas fans will admit that he’s heading over the hill. He is still a master in possession, but his legs are collapsing underneath him. Soon he will no longer be able to compete at this level.
Chelsea will find themselves in need of some more creativity in the middle of the park, with a little added dynamism. Miralem Pjanic could be that man, and it appears as though Maurizio Sarri agrees.
According to Corriere dello Sport Chelsea, along with Barcelona, are interested in signing Pjanic from Juventus. It’s claimed that his skill-set is something that the Blues are drawn to, with Sarri also thought to be an admirer of the Bosnian.
The Daily Mail believe that Pjanic is valued in the region of £70M. It’s a hefty price to pay, but it may well be worth paying it to see him playing alongside N’Golo Kante next term.
