Chelsea are set to miss out in their pursuit of Juventus left-back Alex Sandro, according to Sky Italy reporter Angelo Mangiante.
Sandro has established himself as one of the best full-backs in the world since making the switch from FC Porto to Juventus. He has been given the platform to showcase his world-class ability, both defensively and defensively. His good performances look to have captured the attention of Chelsea manager Antonio Conte.
As per Angelo Mangiante, Chelsea offered £61M, plus add-ons, in exchange for Sandro – but the proposal was snubbed by Juventus. Mangiante believes that there is no chance that the Blues will be able to pry Sandro away from Turin after Leonardo Bonucci joined AC Milan on Friday.
It looks as though Conte will have to pursue alternative targets, but in reality, there are no better players in that role out there on the market. This will likely be a bitter pill to swallow for the Italian mastermind.
