Chelsea are planning to table an offer for Tottenham left-back Danny Rose, according to The Sun.
Marcos Alonso remains our only option at left-wing-back after the departure of Nathan Ake to AFC Bournemouth, and thus that’s an area that Antonio Conte should definitely look to build on in the final two weeks of the summer transfer window.
The Sun claim that we have identified our number one target in Spurs’ Danny Rose, who is currently sidelined while recovering from a long-term injury.
The tabloid believe that a matter of hours after Chelsea face Tottenham at Wembley at the weekend, the Premier League champions will submit an official proposal for Rose.
Rose will not come cheap, however, The Sun report that Spurs could demand a fee in the region of £50M to consider his sale. Only time will tell if that’s a price we’re willing to pay, but he may well prove to be worth every penny.
