Reported Chelsea target Elseid Hysaj has broken his silence on his future amid rumours that he could be moving to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Whether Chelsea’s interest in Hysaj is genuine or not remains to be seen. Pursuing the Albanian would make perfect sense, on the back of the stellar campaign he enjoyed with the Serie A runners-up. He’s only 24-years-old and on an upward spiral, with Chelsea’s right-back area certainly needing some added quality.
However, the rumours linking Hysaj with a move to Chelsea emerged hand-in-hand with reports that Maurizio Sarri was set to take charge. That does not look as though it’s likely to happen anymore, so it remains to be seen how concrete the club’s interest is.
Regardless, Football London note Chelsea’s interest in Hysaj, as well as reporting his recent comments on his future. He has claimed to be in the dark over his future, despite the constant speculation:
“Future? They are just rumors, I do not know anything and I only read what is written.”
