Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda has claimed that Real Madrid midfielder Isco has an offer on the table from Chelsea.
It feels as though we’ve been linked with Isco since the dawn of time. Since he left Malaga and move to Madrid, links have only been tentative, but it’s enough to get Chelsea fans excited.
It’d take some serious disgruntlement for Isco, a regular starter at the biggest club on the planet, to seek a move away, but Inda believes he may not have a choice – the club are hoping to auction him off.
He’s quoted by OK Diario saying:
“They consider that Isco is not involved in the group, that he is doing his thing, that he is having problems with his weight… so he is thinking of going to the Premier League.”
“He has an offer from Chelsea and another from Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.”
We don’t consider it likely that Isco will leave the Santiago Bernabeu, and even if he does, working at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola may well be a more attractive option for him. We’re not being pessimists – just realists!
As with all transfer rumours in the modern game, we’ll have to wait and see.
