Chelsea have done a bit of business with Portuguese teams this summer already – Geovany Quenda has come in from Sporting, while Jesse Derry has gone the other way on loan. Meanwhile Strasbourg have appointed a Portuguese coach.
So it’s no wonder that Portuguese sports paper A Bola has a report on the unwanted players at Stamford Bridge – there are a number of them who could interest Sporting, Benfica or Porto.
Alonso picks five players who can leave Chelsea at the right price

They claim that five players have been told by Xabi Alonso that they can leave. The new manager has already admitted publicly that Alejandro Garnacho is one of them. A Bola add Axel Disasi, Benoit Badiashile, Liam Delap and Filip Jorgensen to that list.
They estimate the combined sale value of the five at €160m.
Frankly we’re not sure what influence Alonso has had on this list – all of them would have been pretty obvious choices to go even six months ago. Perhaps Alonso could ensure they are spared if he really took a liking to them in preseason – but that feels unlikely.
