Everton are interested in signing Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi, writes Matt Law for the Telegraph.
As per the Telegraph, Chelsea have been holding talks with the Toffees over signing Ross Barkley, and Batshuayi’s name has bee brought up in the midst of the negotiations.
However, there is a catch. The Telegraph report that Batshuayi’s future could depend on where Swansea City striker Fernando Llorente’s next destination is.
It is reported that Tottenham have made their move to hijack Chelsea’s pursuit of the Spaniard, which could prevent Batshuayi from being allowed to leave Stamford Bridge before the transfer window slams shut at 11pm.
However, the Telegraph claim that should Chelsea be successful in their attempts to draft in Llorente, or an alternative, they could give the green light to Batshuayi joining Everton. Whether that be as part of a deal for Barkley or a separate transfer altogether.
This is certainly one to keep an eye on as we approach the deadline.
