Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is plotting a sensational move to bring Nemanja Matic to Manchester United, according to The Sun.

Matic worked under Mourinho for two years during The Special One’s time at Stamford Bridge, and he appears to have left a lasting impression on his ex-manager.

According to The Sun, Man United feel as though they are unlikely to secure the services of Tottenham and England star Eric Dier this summer, and Matic is a more realistic target.

The Sun believe that Antonio Conte’s intentions to draft in reinforcements this summer have given Mourinho hope that he will be successful in his attempts to recruit the Serbian.

Matic is not the only Chelsea star that Mourinho has in his crosshairs, however, The Sun report that Willian is also on his radar.

It seems strange that the club would do business with a direct rival, especially one that is managed by Mourinho.
