Lille are ready to offer Michy Batshuayi an escape route from his Chelsea misery, according to the Mirror.
Antonio Conte showed no willingness to use Batshuayi last season, despite the Belgian often being productive during the little time he did get on the field.
After an excellent pre-season campaign, it looked as though he was set to start the Premier League season as our starting striker, but he has lost his spot to new signing Alvaro Morata after just two games.
There is no suggestion in the Mirror’s report that Batshuayi has any intentions of leaving Stamford Bridge this summer, but the tabloid believe that will not stop Lille from attempting to prise him away from the champions.
The Mirror claim that Lille are prepared to offer £36.7M in exchange Batshuayi, which they note would actually record a profit for the Blues following the fall of the pound.
Morata is currently our only other option at centre-forward, at this stage of the transfer window we should look to secure a replacement before giving the green-light to any departures.
