The time may have finally arrived for Lucas Piazon to leave Chelsea on a permanent basis, with Goal reporting that he’s attracting interest from his native Brazil.
Piazon signed for Chelsea way back in 2011, though the move didn’t go through until the following winter transfer window.
He’s only made one Premier League appearances in the seven years since, and that was during our 8-0 demolition of Aston Villa – during which he assisted a goal for compatriot Ramires.
He has spent time out on-loan at five different clubs since making his debut in Blue, but has never threatened to break into the first-team squad and establish himself as a considerable member of it.
Piazon will be 25-years-old in January, it may well be too late for him to launch a career at Chelsea. Securing a move away ought to be on the agenda, and it may well get what he needs.
Goal believe that Corinthians are hoping to sign Piazon on a permanent basis, with his precarious contract situation providing them with an opportunity to bag him on the cheap.
Few Chelsea fans would oppose to Piazon leaving at this stage. It’ll be the best outcome for all parties. We hope that this materialises.
