Maurizio Sarri reportedly wants to bring four of his former Napoli stars with him to Chelsea this summer.
Let’s be honest, Chelsea are not going to sign four players from one club in a single transfer window.
It wouldn’t come as a surprise if Sarri did look to raid his former club, especially considering their superb performances last season.
However, Aurelio De Laurentiis has played hardball over Sarri as it is, he’s not going to let Sarri walk away with four of his prize possessions.
That may not, though, stop Sarri from trying his luck. According to the Mirror, that’s exactly what he’s planning to do.
The Mirror believe that Dries Mertens, right-back Elseid Hysaj, attacker Jose Callejon and centre-back Raul Albiol are all of interest to Sarri.
The report claims that the four players’ release clause would cost Chelsea in the region of £76M. That’d be a huge chunk of our transfer budget we’d be sending to Naples. Would that be shrewd business, Blues?
