Chelsea have reportedly rejected a £35M bid from Real Madrid for goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
This particular update on the situation surrounding Courtois at Stamford Bridge comes reliable HLN reporter Kristof Terreur.
He’s usually on the ball when it comes to news relating to Belgian players, which is why this new information he has provided concerns us.
According to Terreur, Real Madrid have lodged a £35M bid for Courtois after their proposed £70M deal to sign AS Roma goalkeeper encountered problems.
Courtois is thought to be interested in moving to the Santiago Bernabeu and returning to Madrid, the city in which his family reside following his time at Atletico.
The £35M initial offer was thought to have been rejected by Chelsea, but with Courtois’ willingness to move to Real Madrid this summer, you’d think they’ll be given enough encouragement to bid again.
