The vast majority of news published by Spanish publication Don Balon is nonsense. We’re hoping that this report isn’t the exception to the rule.
Don Balon claim that Chelsea player of the year N’Golo Kante is a summer transfer target for new Real Madrid manager Julen Lopetegui.
Following his shock sacking by the Spanish national team, Lopetegui can get stuck straight into transfer business at the Santiago Bernabeu. He doesn’t look to have any intention of messing around, if Don Balon are to be believed, that is.
The report claims that Lopetegui is prepared to shelf pursuits of Chelsea duo Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard in order to focus on acquiring Kante.
Roman Abramovich, as per Don Balon, has no intention of allowing Kante to leave and will reject all approaches for him.
Until Kante is linked with Real Madrid by a more reputable source, we’re not going to worry too much about this one.
