Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata is close to signing for Chelsea, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
As reported by the BBC, Diego Costa was left out of Chelsea’s tour of the Far East amid interest from former employers Atletico Madrid. If he departs, the Blues will need to sign a new starting striker ahead of the 2017/18 Premier League campaign.
Antonio Conte looks to have identified who he wants to draft in this summer, and it’s one of Costa’s international teammates.
Di Marzio, who is renown for being one of the most reliable journalists out there, sent out the below tweet on Wednesday afternoon, claiming that Morata was closing in on a move to Stamford Bridge.

Only once in his professional career has Morata scored more than ten league goals in a season, but if Conte wants him, we have to trust his judgement.
It may well be only a matter of time before Morata becomes a Chelsea player.
I love this decision finally we can have a reason to smile again
