Chelsea are making moves this week, and they’re close to selling Trevoh Chalobah to Serie A at last, with Como’s latest offer set to be accepted.

In a busy day for Chelsea defensive transfer moves, the Blues are closer than ever to selling Trevoh Chalobah.

The defender has seemingly been in talks with Inter Milan and Como for weeks without much progress, but a report from Fabrizio Romano today claims that things are finally moving forward.

The transfer guru says that Como have sent a €25m bid with €5m in easily achievable add-ons on top, getting them to Chelsea’s €30m asking price. He adds that Chalobah is “keen on the move.”

With Maxence Lacroix about to move from Crystal Palace to Stamford Bridge for around £50m, this is a nice offsetting move for the Blues. They still have more defenders to sell, but it’s nice to at least get one over the line.

Chalobah has been a great servant through some tough years, one of the most consistent players we’ve had in the tumultuous BlueCo era. We back him to go to Como and look fantastic under Cesc Fabregas. He will get Champions League football and finally be appreciated for all his qualities.

In other news…

Cole Palmer’s preseason efforts are shocking those at Chelsea – but in a good way. The attacker wants to make up for lost time after a bad 18 months.

Man City continue to be linked with two Chelsea players, even though their asking prices make deals very hard to imagine at this point.
