We brought you the news on Monday afternoon that Chelsea winger Willian had taken to Instagram to fire an unambiguous dig at manager Antonio Conte

Well, the situation has since developed. Willian’s behaviour heavily hinted at a potential rift with Conte. You could assume that it is due to Conte’s insistence on rotating the Brazilian out of the side when he opts to use a 3-5-2 system.

Though the reasons behind Willian’s disgruntlement are as yet not known, the severity of the situation developing in Cobham is clear for all to see.

Sky Sports report that Willian will look to leave Chelsea if Conte does not depart himself this summer. The report clams that Manchester United are interested and will move for Willian if he does decide to jump-ship.

Chelsea sold Nemanja Matic to United last summer. If the price suits us, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Willian donning their red strip come the start of the 2018/19 campaign.
