Antonio Conte talked transfers following Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Tottenham at Wembley on Sunday, report Calciomercato.

If you watched the Blues’ triumph over Spurs, you could be forgiven for thinking that there is no dire need for reinforcements for Conte’s squad. It was one of the most difficult fixtures on our schedule, and we defied the odds to take maximum points.

However, there are still serious issues with our squad depth that need addressing, and there is less than two weeks for the club to bring in new players to solve those problems.

However, Conte appears to be relaxed about the situation. Calciomercato quote the Italian who reveals that he is not expecting any new signings, but refuses to rule out the possibility of several players arriving:

“I am not expecting anything as I am fully focused on my job. I want to help my players reach their potential. Even if one, two or five new players arrive, we have to focus on our individual jobs.”

Despite Sunday’s victory, it would be disastrous for us to not bring in a couple more players considering the long and treacherous season that lies ahead.
