Chelsea legend John Terry is reportedly prepared to join Frank Lampard in his adventure at Derby.
Lampard signed a three-year deal with the Championship side to secure his managerial debut at the age of 39-years-old. He took Jody Morris with him, who won everything there is to win at youth level during his time with Chelsea.
It’s an all-star lineup at Pride Park, but Derby may well not be done there. According to the Daily Star, Terry has agreed to join Lampard at the club following the expiration of his contract with Aston Villa.
As per the report, Terry banked £60K-a-week with Villa last season. It looks as though that’ll be (at least) halved if he wants to set-up a reunion with Lampard at Derby, but he appears willing to do it.
We’d love to see Lampard and Terry working together again. If it happens, let’s hope their friendship doesn’t get torn apart. As they say, you should never mix business with pleasure – and they have quite the bromance…
