Chelsea striker Oliver Giroud is determined to continue his sensational FA Cup achievements as the Blues prepare for Sunday’s semi-final against Southampton.
With Chelsea having a poor league showing this season, five points behind fourth-placed Tottenham, the FA Cup would be a silver lining for the club.
After his fantastic impact in scoring a brace coming on as a substitute along with a solid display against Burnley on Thursday with Chelsea winning both matches, Giroud is quoted by the Daily Mail, revealing his eye is now firmly on domestic silverware.
“I signed here to win trophies. If I win it again, it would be my fourth FA Cup in five years.
“I want to carry on the good momentum because I was unbeaten at Wembley with Arsenal and I want to do it with Chelsea too.”
Giroud could well start for the clash against Mark Hughes’ side at Wembley but it’s anyone’s guess as to whether he will start as a lone striker or with a partner.
If the Frenchmen is able to guide Chelsea to FA Cup glory this season, Arsenal may regret selling him to us.
