Celtic looks to have won the race to sign arguably Chelsea’s greatest talent in 21-year-old Charly Musonda, Sky Sports reports.
The Belgian landed in Glasgow in the hope that a deal with the Europa League side can be announced.
Musonda is set to join Celtic for 18 months and manager Brendan Rodgers confirmed his club had to battle to sign the winger.
When speaking to STV, Rodgers had this to say:
“I think there was up to 24 clubs interested in taking Charly so for him to want to come here and Chelsea to happily want him to come then it’s a great coup for us as a football club.”
Celtic move good for Musonda

The Scottish Premiership may not be competitive for Musonda. However, at a club like Celtic, he can get his head down and concentrate for playing for a respectable European side.
Musonda will get plenty of game time and young players have the habit of progressing well under Rodgers.
