Chelsea have sent Brazilian youngster Kenedy home from their pre-season tour of Asia after he shared several disrespectful posts on Instagram, report Sky Sports.
Sky Sports believe that the negative reaction in China caused by Kenedy’s offensive Instagram posts have forced the club’s hand and they have decided to send him back to England early.
As Sky Sports report, both Chelsea and Kenedy issued public apologies after the incident, but it looks as though he will face further punishment.
Kenedy’s position in Antonio Conte’s first-team squad already looked precarious, with the youngster failing to make an impression on-loan at Watford last term and after his return from the Hornets.
If Sky Sports are correct in reporting that Kenedy will now play no further part in Chelsea’s pre-season tour, it puts a major question mark over his future at the club.
Only time will tell what the future holds for Kenedy, but at the time of writing, it’s looking bleak.
