Maurizio Sarri sees Chelsea as the ‘ideal team for his type of football’, according to close friend Marco Brachi.

Depending on the accuracy of recent reports coming out of Italy, Sarri could soon be appointed Chelsea manager.

This situation has ran on for far too long. At one point it looked as though he was tempted by Zenit, then Chelsea went cold on the idea of appointing a man with such a controversial past.

However, it does seem like a matter of dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s. Sarri will likely be our next manager, and we can’t wait to see what he does with the squad.

Especially after these recent comments from close friend and coaching counterpart Marco Brachi. If he is to be believed, Sarri is as excited about the possibility of joining Chelsea as we are.

Brachi is quoted by Football Italia revealing that Sarri sees Chelsea as the perfect fit:

“Maurizio has always been fascinated by the Chelsea option, as he’d really love to work in England. Let’s be clear, it is the ideal team for his type of football. They’ve got players like Willian and Eden Hazard who run hard.”
