Ex-Juventus CEO Luciano Moggi has fuelled speculation that Chelsea could make a move to sign midfielder Miralem Pjanic this summer.
We brought you the news on Wednesday that Chelsea had been linked with a move to sign Pjanic. The Bosnian is thought to be valued in the region of £70M, with Barcelona also being linked with a move to sign him.
It seems to be an implausible signing, even if Maurizio Sarri would no doubt love to have him at his disposal at Chelsea. Pjanic appears to have no need to depart Turin, nor would Juventus have any reason to sell.
Interestingly, former Juve CEO Moggi took to Twitter to post the below tweet. It’s unclear whether he is speculating following the reports in the press or he knows something that we don’t.

It would be naive for Chelsea to waste more time attempting to prise a player away from Juventus that we have no chance of acquiring. We did that for the entirety of last summer with Alex Sandro.
