Antonio Conte is fighting to keep Diego Costa at Chelsea amid interest from the Chinese Super League, according to The Sun.

The Sun report that a £60million offer for Costa has been on the table since January from a Chinese side, but Conte is desperate to keep hold of the Spaniard.

The Sun believe that Chelsea are interested in signing Everton talisman Romelu Lukaku, but the Premier League champions are unwilling to meet the Toffees’ £100million asking price.

Conte will subsequently look to keep hold of Costa, and The Sun report that Chelsea have offered the 28-year-old a new £220,000-a-week to try and convince him to commit his future to the club. However, The Sun note that Costa is unlikely to pen a new deal unless Chelsea increase their offer to an eye-watering £300,000-a-week.

From a Chelsea perspective, we should offer Costa whatever it takes – his influence at the spearhead in our attack would be extremely difficult to replace.
